Become a Mentor
Most have had someone who offered guidance, shared wisdom, or helped open doors along their career path. Fields of Opportunity is a chance to do just that for a local high school student beginning to explore their future.
Some students in this program are already interested in the wine industry, while others are eager to discover what it’s all about. This program offers an invaluable way to share knowledge and passion, inviting local students into the fold.
Students take on regular work responsibilities alongside hands-on exposure to different facets of the business. Some mentors arrange a rotation through multiple departments, others have students focus on a specific role, and some tailor a role encompassing all the essential tasks that keep a business running smoothly.
What unites these experiences is a commitment to their success—taking time to demonstrate, explain, and witness their understanding grow. Fields of Opportunity is far more than a summer job; with the support of weekly skill-building workshops hosted by the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, these eight weeks become a journey of self-discovery, helping students uncover their potential and envision their future.
This mentorship journey uplifts all involved, fostering a sense of connection with the next generation. Invest in the young people of Napa Valley, in their potential, and in a shared future.
The Fields of Opportunity await – ready to change lives?

"V. Sattui has been proud to be a part of this program. We believe in mentorship and raising up the next generation of workers and leaders for our shared community This program provides a way to do exactly that. Not only has this provided an avenue to give something back to the community, it has also provided a way to hire new employees that still work with us to this day.” |

"Everything about Hudson Ranch is pretty mesmerizing. It is beautiful and the people are very welcoming. I learned to work with elevated clientele and to see how hospitality works in Napa. I found my hospitality voice! I liked the Friday workshops because it was nice to connect with other people in the program at other companies and hear how their week went." -Ximena |
