Summary
This field trip offers vineyard workers an in-depth look at the winemaking process after harvest.
The first stop will be Pine Ridge Vineyards, where Cellar Master Jesus Candelario and Estate Winemaker Josh Widaman will host a tour of the wine production facilities, including the wine caves, and share insights into sustainable farming practices and the intricacies of terroir-driven winemaking.
From there, we will travel to Shafer Vineyards, where Winemaker Elias Fernandez will lead a cellar tour of the winery’s historic property, which has been producing wines since the 1880s, and share the winery’s approach to sustainable viticulture and the craftsmanship behind its renowned portfolio of wines.
This immersive experience will highlight the seamless connection between vineyard practices and the final product in the bottle. It also offers the chance to deepen knowledge, gain new perspectives, and take pride in being part of every step that brings a specific wine to life.
