Summary

This two-part Tractor and ATV safety training is designed specifically for safety coordinators of small companies.

The course includes safety training for specific practices such as operating tractors on steep slopes and narrow vine rows, safely transporting tools and bins, navigating uneven terrain, headlands, and wet winter soils, and using ATVs for scouting, irrigation checks, and daily vineyard tasks.

Special attention is given to rollover prevention, safe operating speeds on slopes, PTO awareness, and proper equipment handling to reduce the risk of the most common and most serious vineyard equipment accidents.

First-year attendees will receive a Tractor/ATV Safety Card valid for three years. Employers will receive a certificate listing the names of all attendees from their company to support annual OSHA compliance requirements.
