Leadership & Management

​Employees benefit tremendously from employers who support and encourage professional development. Leadership and management training provides a source of pride for employees in addition to career advancement and higher wages. We host a variety of manager-training workshops, including:

Train the Trainer taught individuals how to teach others critical farming techniques, including:

• Pesticide for safely using pesticides.
• Healthy Soils for collecting soil samples and assessing soil health in the field and lab
• Forklift for operating a critical piece of equipment

Women’s Leadership Workshop brought together 40 women for continuing education in leadership, public speaking, and self-care. 

Supervisor Development Program delivered an intensive four-day curriculum that addressed communication, leadership, safety, and compliance, which for the first time focused on female farmworkers. 

​CULTIVAR is an annual, three-day, intensive program attended by 250 farmworkers and supervisors eager to increase their knowledge and skill set. Topics range from winterizing vineyards to building communication skills.
