Your privacy is important to us. We are dedicated to protecting the privacy of our donors as well as others who visit our Website, attend our events, and/or interact with our organization online or in person. This Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation (referred to herein as “FWF,” “we,” or “our”) Privacy Policy applies to FWF’s practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information that we collect offline and online, including via our website located at https://www.farmworkerfoundation.org (the "Website") or by email, social media, marketing communications, or other methods. It is intended to apply to donors as well as others.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address, or phone number. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, make a donation, respond to a survey or fill out a form. When you enter our premises your image may be captured on video surveillance and we may collect certain health information for safety and security purposes. We do not store such information after your visit.
When you participate at in-person events, we may record and/or photograph events. This will be for the purpose of promoting services and providing educational resources. We maintain copyright and any other intellectual property in photographs taken and/or in digitized recordings belong to FWF. In return for access to the event, you consent to any such filming, photography and/or live streaming and to FWF in reproducing and publishing your words and/or likeness in any transcript of or publication relating to the event and/or for the purposes of publicizing the services of FWF and its partners. Photos and recordings contain personal data and will be protected and disposed of securely in accordance with data protection legislation. When you attend one of our in-person events, we may collect contact information such as name, e-mail address, mailing address, or phone number.
When you visit a website, you disclose certain information, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and the time of your visit. This site, like many other sites, records this basic information about visits to our Website.
What We Use Your Information For
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and who are required to keep the information confidential.
After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent. As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to their information at any time by logging into their control panel and going to the ‘Edit Profile’ page.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

California Civil Code § 1542 provides, “A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him or her must have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor.”
