FWF: Tell me a little bit about yourself. What is your name and position at work? Where are you from originally?
My name is Celia Perez, I am originally from Jalisco, Mexico. I am a Supervisor and I have been working for V.Sattui for 19 years, and before that Iworked at Robert Mondavi for 12 years.In total, I have over 30 years of
FWF: How have you seen your work change over the years? How has the valley changed?
It has changed for the better - before there were very few women employed by companies and now there are many. I think everything has progressed for the good of women.  Personally, I have been given many opportunities and I learned to do many jobs. When I started at V. Sattui, they recognized that I brought experience from my previous employer, and they provided me with opportunities and responsibilities.
FWF: What do you like best about the work? What is hard about the work?
​The seasons I like the most are pruning and harvesting. I like pruning because it is the beginning of a new year and harvest because when we finish picking fruit, we have accomplished what has been a whole year of work.FWF: What skills are required to do your job well?
 A good attitude and accountability are the two main things you need to come to work in the field.
FWF: Does the work you do in the vineyards help you achieve your goals?
It does help me because I get to spend more time with my children.
FWF: What do you want your family, kids, and relatives who might not live here know about your work?
I would like my children to know that their mother has fought hard to give them a better life -she is strong, hardworking, and responsible in her work.
And for the relatives in Mexico, I would like them to know that it was worth leaving them to make a better life for my family.
FWF: What does success look like for you?
​For me, success is based on effort, and it is important to me that my efforts are recognized by the company I work for. I feel successful because I have my company’s support and trust
FWF:What are you most proud of?
I am proud of the opportunities that other people have given me and I am now able to teach new generations
FWF: Did you have, or have you ever had a mentor at work? Tell us about them.
I was fortunate to have found V.Sattui. The people here have given me a lot of support and have trusted me to do a good job. I have learned so much and they provided me with more opportunity to learn new skills.
FWF: What is one word that describes you?
I have a hard working and determined character  
 

FWF: Hábleme un poco de usted. ¿Cuál es su nombre y su puesto en el trabajo? ¿De dónde es usted originario? 
Mi Nombre es Celia Perez, soy originaria de Jalisco, México. Soy Supervisora y tengo 19 años trabajando para V.Sattui, trabajé por 12 años para Robert Mondavi. En total, tengo más de 30 años de experiencia. 
FWF: ¿Cómo ha cambiado tu trabajo a lo largo de los años? ¿Cómo ha cambiado el valle? 
Ha evolucionado para bien – antes había muy pocas mujeres por compañía y ahora ya hay más. Personalmente me dieron muchas oportunidades y aprendí a hacer muchos trabajos. Cuando empecé en V. Sattui vieron que traía experiencia de la otra compañía para la que trabajaba y me dieron oportunidades y responsabilidades. 
FWF: ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del trabajo? ¿Qué es lo más difícil del trabajo?
Lo que más me gusta son dos temporadas, la poda y la pisca. La poda me gusta porque es un inicio de un nuevo año y la pizca porque cuando terminamos de piscar, ya cumplimos con lo que fue todo un año de trabajo. 
FWF: ¿Qué habilidades son necesarias para hacer bien tu trabajo?
Tener buena actitud y ser responsable son las 2 cosas principales que necesitas para venir a trabajar al campo.
FWF: ¿El trabajo que realiza en los viñedos le ayuda a alcanzar sus objetivos?
Sí, claro que sí, para darle una mejor vida a mi familia.
FWF: ¿Qué quieres que sepan de tu trabajo tu familia, tus hijos y los parientes que quizá no vivan aquí?
Me gustaría que sepan mis hijos que su madre ha sido luchadora para darles una mejor vida, es fuerte, trabajadora, responsable en su trabajo.
Y para los familiares que no viven aquí, que valió la pena haberlos dejado e ido para tener una mejor vida para mi familia.
FWF: ¿Qué es para usted el éxito?
Para mí el éxito es a base de esfuerzo y es importante para mí que la compañía para la que trabajo reconozca mis esfuerzos. Me siento exitosa si tengo el apoyo y la confianza de la compañía. 
FWF: ¿De qué te sientes más orgulloso? Del trabajo, de aprender inglés, de establecer una comunidad
Me siento orgullosa de la oportunidades que otras personas me brindaron y hoy en día puedo enseñar a nuevas generaciones.
FWF:¿Has tenido o tienes un mentor en el trabajo? Háblanos de ellos. 
Tuve la suerte de encontrar a V.Sattui.  Me han dado mucho apoyo y confianza para hacer un buen trabajo. Me ha enseñado mucho y me han dado más la oportunidad de que yo aprenda a hacer cosas nuevas.

Soy muy trabajadora y luchadora
